MATCH PREVIEW: Selangor Aims First Victory At Stadium UiTM (CIMB Super League 2020)

After successfully added three valuable points from last week's match, the Red Giants squad will face Melaka United at home ground on 11 September 2020.

Selangor's 1-1 draw against Melaka United in the second round of the Malaysia Cup 2019 was at the Shah Alam Stadium in September last year.

Last week's victory will definitely raise the spirits of the Selangor squad to continue the good momentum and show encouraging action for this Friday's match.

Brendan Gan, the Selangor midfielder who showed good action in the last match said that Melaka United is a great team but Selangor needs to focus and show their best performance.

"We have shown a high fighting spirit to get three full points last week. The team needs to continue to show good action against Melaka tomorrow, they (Melaka United) are a good team but we have to focus on ourselves and make sure we can play well," said Brendan.

He also hopes that the supporters will continue to be positive and enthusiastic so that we can end the campaign this season well despite the match without supporters.

"It's a little difficult to play in a match without a supporter but we can feel the support of all the fans through social media channels. We will always give our best for the club and the supporters. We Are One !," added Brendan.

In terms of players' availability, Mukhairi Ajmal was sidelined due to minor injuries, while Hakim Hassan is still undergoing the rehabilitation process. Despite this, A.Namathevan is given the green light to return to the main team.

The Red Giants' currently sitting in the sixth spot in the CIMB Super League 2020 with 9 points accumulated as a result of two wins, three draws, and one defeat, while Melaka United is in 5th place.
